The city of New Orleans is holding Inaugural events for the mayor and city council Monday.
Due to COVID-19 concerns, the ceremonies will be held virtually.
Mayor LaToya Cantrell will be sworn in separately from the newly elected City Council members to limit seating capacity and reduce the risk of potential exposure.
The Inaugural events for Cantrell will take place in front of Gallier Hall. A mass will be held prior at St. Patrick's Church at 8:30 a.m.
